National Exams for our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students

We are so proud of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students for doing so well on their National Exams!

The National Exams in Kenya are very important. They are educational exams that test core competencies on Math, Science, Reading, and English.

Students’ test score determines the school’s district ranking. We are currently #2 in the district and the only top performing school that accepts so many students from disadvantaged backgrounds. It also qualifies students for high school scholarships and determines what caliber of high school they will attend!

So as you can imagine the pressure is very high. Our students come in on Saturday mornings for months to prepare.

Our students rose to the challenge and their hard work paid off! They did amazing and we are so proud of them!

But one of the things the test does not show is a students character.  Daylight works really hard build young leaders of character, who embody servant leadership and integrity.

Our students are brilliant, smart, and they will bless this world with their lives.

Thank you to our teachers, staff, and our global partners who supported these brilliant young leaders.

If you would like to make a pledge to support our students during the next school year please click here.  A gift of $30 per month or more will qualify you for a classroom sponsorship.  You can select which grade (4 -7) you’d like to sponsor and can send letters to the class and will receive three letters during the year from students at Daylight.  If you’d like to make a one-time donation to help support Daylight School please click here.

Thank you for helping Daylight to create bright futures in Kenya.

Pledge your support for Sunday and Daylight Students

Dear Friends,
At Daylight, Sunday is a special day, and a special girl.
Sunday is in 5th grade at Daylight School. She wants to climb mountains, specifically Mount Elgon, which she can see from the school. Sunday likes to play soccer and dance with her friends. Sunday has six sisters and two brothers, and Daylight helps her, and her siblings go to school.
Sunday dreams of becoming a doctor. In Kenya it often takes hours of travel to visit a doctor and can be very expensive for many of our student’s families. Inspiring our students to pursue their dreams and give back to their community is why we started Daylight School in 2007.
We want to make Sunday’s dreams possible.

Will you support Sunday and her 400 classmates so they can continue to grow to be bright leaders in Kenya?
Will you help support students like Sunday? Any donation over $30 a month will qualify you as a classroom sponsor. You will receive letters from students three times a year and we will bring your letters to them in Kenya. Is there a child in your life that would enjoy corresponding with students like Sunday? Consider giving a sponsorship as a Christmas gift
to someone you love.
Whatever amount you give, we will put it to use quickly for Daylight’s students. See the attached card to see how you can make your donation.
With your gift to Daylight you are making a bright future for Sunday and her classmates. Thank you for continuing to keep Daylight’s students so close to your heart and in your prayers.
With gratitude,
Nathan Roberts
Daylight U.S. Director
