MY EXPERIENCE AT DAYLIGHT MODEL SCHOOL

Today I meet my school director.

And I want to share with you the following stories.

I joined daylight at grade 3, upon reference from my Aunty Mrs. Tomeyan and studied until grade 8.

In 2017 I did my end of elementary national exam (Kenya Certificate of primary education) where I emerged the first student in West Pokot County with 421/500.

I was the best in the county. I beat all boys and girls. I stunned the world. All television stations in Kenya covered my story. I am a proud girl and a role model for all girls in the Nomadic region.

And to our friends and supporters in the US we are grateful to you all.

May God bless you immensely.

So far about 1000 and counting have gone through Daylight and proceeded to tertiary education, colleges and Universities.

As I write, I am in Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and technology (JKUAT) pursuing bachelor of Business information Technology.

My ambition is that when I finish university, I would wish to work for the cooperate world or the government of Kenya.

God help me Lord. Beside me I am only a drop in the ocean. There are so many girls and boys out there who need the opportunity that I have had.

Friends of daylight raise your hopes and help us to experience the value of life.

As I write my heart bleeds for the girls who never got the chance I got to attend daylight.

And for Michael Kimpur, we appreciate your effort and leadership.

Love you all/ Leah Chepkemoi
